Will I be able to communicate with my babysitter before the event?
Yes. Once you’ve been matched, you’ll have access to our built-in, monitored messaging system, allowing you to communicate directly with your babysitter.
We strongly recommend arranging a video call ahead of your event to discuss your plans, routines, timings, and any special requirements. If your babysitter is local, you may also wish to arrange a face-to-face meeting before the event if your babysitter is available for this.
How do you vet babysitters on the platform?
All babysitters who sign up to become a wedding or event babysitter must hold a minimum of a clear DBS check.
Babysitters may also have professional childcare qualifications or formal experience, but we also recognise that valuable experience can come from caring for siblings, family members, grandchildren, or working in informal childcare roles. Our goal is to create an inclusive platform while maintaining high standards of care.
Every babysitter completes a video call with our team before joining the platform. During this call, we discuss their experience, approach to childcare, suitability for wedding and event work, and how the platform operates.
Babysitters who choose a premium membership also receive access to insurance, ongoing training and updated guidance to support their development.
Are babysitters insured?
Babysitters are responsible for holding their own appropriate insurance where required. We recommend that parents check a babysitter’s profile and ask any relevant questions during pre-event communication to ensure they feel comfortable.
Can babysitters care for multiple children?
Yes — babysitters can care for more than one child, provided legal and safe childcare ratios are met.
When you complete your booking request, you’ll be asked to enter the ages and number of children requiring care. Our platform automatically matches babysitters based on appropriate legal ratios for the ages selected, ensuring babysitters are never assigned an unsafe or unrealistic number of children.
For larger groups, weddings, or events with multiple children, your booking may be reviewed and managed manually by our team. This allows us to ensure the correct number of babysitters are allocated so that all children are cared for safely and babysitters are properly supported.
We always recommend discussing the final arrangements with your babysitter ahead of the event so everyone is clear and comfortable.
What happens if my babysitter cancels?
We understand that arranging childcare for a wedding or special event can be stressful, which is why we’ve built contingencies into our platform to make the process as smooth and worry-free as possible.
In the unlikely event that your babysitter needs to cancel, our team will notify you as soon as possible and aim to provide a replacement babysitter from our pool of pre-approved last-minute and back-up babysitters. These babysitters have confirmed at sign-up that they are available for short-notice and emergency bookings.
When you make a booking, all important information about the children, routines, and the plans for the day is securely stored on our platform. This means that if a replacement babysitter is required, they’ll have access to the relevant details straight away — so you won’t need to repeat yourself or re-explain arrangements during an already busy time.
While replacements are subject to availability, our team will always do everything possible to support you and minimise disruption.

How do payments work?
All payments are handled securely through the platform. This protects both parents and babysitters and ensures complete clarity around rates, booked hours, and confirmed services.
When you make a booking, you’ll pay a 50% deposit to secure your babysitter. The remaining balance is due 7 days before your wedding or event.

What if there is an emergency during the event?
Babysitters will follow the instructions and emergency contact details you provide ahead of the event. We strongly recommend sharing key information such as medical needs, allergies, routines, and emergency contacts during your pre-event communication.
Our platform messaging remains available throughout your booking should you need to contact your babysitter at any time.
Can I book a babysitter specifically for a wedding or large event?
Absolutely. Our platform is designed specifically for weddings and events. Many of our babysitters are experienced in caring for children in busy, unfamiliar environments and understand the unique needs of event-based childcare.
Do I need to provide anything for the babysitter?
Parents are responsible for providing all essentials such as food, nappies, wipes, bottles, bedtime items, and any comfort items your child may need. It’s helpful to discuss expectations and routines with your babysitter before the event to ensure a smooth experience.
